Vince Oliver is a graduate of the Thornton School of Music at the University of Southern California where he studied percussion performance and composition. Following graduation Vince joined the cast of the Tony-award winning production Blast! as a featured percussion soloist. He toured two years throughout the US and Canada, and subsequently toured several summers throughout Japan performing in both the original Blast! and the sequel, Blast II MIX: Music in Extreme. Vince joined the creative team for Blast! productions in 2016, and has served as the show’s music director and co-arranger since 2017.

As a composer/arranger Vince has had the privilege of writing for various ensembles throughout the world. His wind ensemble and orchestra compositions have been performed at The Walt Disney Concert Hall, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, The Palau de Música in Barcelona, as well as various festivals and national conventions throughout the world. Specializing in electro-acoustic integration, his pieces Press (for string orchestra and track), and Press Play (for wind band and electronics), were both premiered at the Midwest Clinic in 2014 and 2017, respectively. His wind band piece Lullaby for a Young Dreamer was recognized as one of Band World’s top 100 pieces in 2019. He currently arranges/composes for several marching bands across the country, including the current Bands of America Champion, Avon High School. Vince was on the music design team at Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps from 2014-2018, and was the brass arranger for Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps from 2023-2025.
